United States supports lawsuit challenging quarantine of coronaviruses in Hawaii for travelers

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The US Department of Justice has supported a lawsuit challenging Hawaii’s 14-day quarantine for those entering the state, saying visitors are denied rights to the most of the islanders.

Tuesday’s deposit in support of the lawsuit, filed by residents of Nevada and California who own property in Hawaii, is the latest Justice Department decision to support court challenges to the coronavirus measures taken in various states, including Illinois and Maine.
